Interview Series  -  Silver Adrienna Ng 1

In this interview series, we interviewed Silver Adrienna Ng on how she’s doing to cope with this work from home period.

ASL, please!

Adrienna: 33. Female. West

What are some things you must have when working from home?
Adrienna:
I’m absolutely basic at work. I don’t do coffee; so just sunlight, water, music, and I’m conditioned to go. I believe having minimal working essentials make you focus better and stay on track. I should mention chocolates too? Dark, please. You know, that essential mid-day snack.

How do you separate your personal time from working time now that you are working from home?
Adrienna:
As a business owner at times you forget about drawing the line between personal time from work hours. Especially when working from home, I’m connected to work almost 24/7. A sunset drink usually does the trick to keep them separate. It’s like that happy hour drink to remind you that hey it’s after work, it’s time to take a break and chill.

Given a choice, do you prefer working from home or working in an office?
Adrienna:
As much as the world is revolving around working from home and that #wfh is here to stay, my vote stays with unlocking that home door to work in an office. To avoid putting myself in isolation (laughs!).
But you will be surprised how that mid-day snack with your team could create a joke that would so make your day. And how that impromptu interaction could spark interesting project ideas. It’s that human touch, that real sense of camaraderie you cannot find through remote working.
